In this video, I’ll show you how to make a fun braided leather bracelet with a tassel. Actually, the tassel is optional, but I love it! I think it adds a fun flair to a simple design. It could also be interesting to mix colors instead of choosing just one. What do you think?
All the tools and materials needed to make this bracelet are listed below the video.

TOOLS AND MATERIALS:
• 3 feet (1 yard) of 1/8th inch (3mm) suede leather lace
• 3 jump rings
• 2 6mm (1/4″) ribbon crimp ends
• 1 lobster clasp
(all of the above are included in this KIT)
• 2 pairs of jewelry pliers (chain nose, bent chain nose, flat nose)
• flush cutters or sharp fabric scissors
• leather or fabric glue*
• ruler
• toothpicks, paper towels
*As I mention in the video, don’t worry too much about the brand of glue. As long as it says it will bond fabric or leather, it will work on this suede. I like to use Beacon’s Fabri-Fix (also known as Fabri-Tac), which is very viscous but holds tight and dries clear.
Instead of braiding up in the air (like I do in the video) it might be easier to attach your work to something to hold it firmly while you braid.
Some people like to use a clipboard, but I prefer to use a safety pin to attach the work to the leg of my pants and sit with my ankle crossed over my knee. This is a very comfortable way to work, and it works great for braiding and macrame!
What do you think of this Braided Leather Bracelet Tutorial? I’d love to hear from you!
