These gorgeous earrings are so much fun to wear – and are sure to attract lots of attention as they swing and dance on your ears.
The tube beads are actually some paper beads that I made and I thought this would be an interesting way to showcase them alongside some shimmery drop beads I have on hand. I hope you enjoy the tutorial. I look forward to hearing what you think!

DIY Chandelier Earrings
TOOLS + MATERIALS:
- 1 pair of ear wires
- 2 jump rings 4mm, 20 gauge (.7mm – .8mm)
- 7-8″ small cable chain
- 20 gauge (.8mm) wire, half hard (3-4 inches) (I recommend this wire for beginners)
- 2 center beads (mine are handmade paper beads about 3/4″ (19mm) long)
- 24 gauge (.5mm) or 26 gauge (.4mm) half hard wire (I recommend this wire for beginners)
- 2-10 drop beads (the ones I use are available in my Etsy Shop, and lots more options here)
- basic tools: chain nose pliers*, round nose pliers, and flush cutters
- eye protection
*I recommend using 2 pairs of chain nose pliers for opening and closing jump rings.
Here is a list of the tools I personally use. Please note that a few of them are quite pricey which is why I also included the link to the ‘basic tools’ above. You DON’T have to spend a lot of money on your tools, but if you can splurge, it’s totally worth it!
