DIY Leather Knot Earrings
In this video, I’ll show you how to make a quick and easy pair of earrings with leather and beads! This earring tutorial is a great project for using up scraps of leather you might have left over from other leather jewelry projects.
By the way – if you’re not sure how to make the bead dangles or just need a refresher, check out my last video: Simple Bead Dangles. You’ll also learn how to make your own easy headpins!
Back to making these DIY Leather Knot Earrings – watch the video below and I’ll walk you through the steps!

TOOLS + MATERIALS:
• 1 foot 2 mm round leather
• two 4mm fold-over crimps
• six 4mm jump rings (20 gauge)
• 1 pair ready made ear wires
• 6 ready made bead dangles w/ small loops
• 2 ready made bead dangles w/ large loops
• round nose pliers
• chain nose pliers
• bent chain nose pliers
• flush cutters
NOTES:
I forgot to mention in the video that the reason I use the jump rings on the lower dangles is because attaching them directly to the leather doesn’t allow them enough movement. Since there are two pieces of leather overlapping there, the loops easily get stuck in between them and the beads stick out in all directions instead of dangling down freely.
The jump rings may also get stuck between the leather, but the dangles will still be able to move freely and hang down instead of sticking out all over the place in different directions.

Thanks for the video. I’ll be trying out leather and bead jewelry for my next crafting project.
