In this video, I’ll show you how to make bead dangles and some easy DIY headpins. Both of these techniques are important basic wire jewelry techniques for beginners.
Knowing how to make headpins not only means that you don’t have to purchase additional supplies, but you have more versatility and freedom too. All you need is some wire and the right tools and you can make bead dangles with any beads you have – you don’t have to worry about having headpins that are the right length!
After we make our simple headpins, I’ll show you how to create the loop at the top. There are many ways to make these loops (called ‘simple wire loops’ or ‘basic wire loops’) and I teach several different methods in my Wire Wrapping for Beginners online class along with some great tips and tricks for getting perfect, even loops that are all the same size, and how to avoid wasting wire.
You can see some of these other methods and tricks as part of the free trial for that class – click here to check it out!
